Husband and wife photography team, Steve and Shelley Harrington live in Garland, Utah. It’s a small town, but as Shelley says, “it’s okay if you’ve never heard of it.” While the duo continue to shoot “anything that moves and has money, we mainly work with high school seniors.” And do they ever. The Harringtons have built a serious and lucrative senior market in small town USA. Their style and creativity is what keeps drawing seniors into their studio, and now they’re teaching other photographers how to be successful in that senior market.
Steve and Shelley are teaching a Master Class at WPPI in Vegas in March and as members of SPA (Senior Portrait Artists) they regularly teach there as well.

“It’s so easy. We grab an image from a senior session, throw it in a magazine cover template, take a few minutes to customize the colors and headlines, and get it printed and mounted. When the senior comes to view his or her photos, we put their magazine cover out in our waiting area. Once they see it, they buy it,” says Steve Harrington.
