design house 2 is in the hands of beta testers

20090928aThat’s right. The beta testers got their hands on the beta release of the new design house library volume 2 last week, and they’re diligently crunching through all of the tools and library files and helping me work out the bugs. One of the fun parts for me about beta testing is seeing what these talented folks can do with it.

One of those beta testers is a truly talented retouch artist and photographer, Mike Long in Portland, Oregon. Mike and I lead a workshop together in Portland last year, and heavily involved in putting together his own projects  like Portland Pin-ups and his new set of retouching tools called Pindora’s Box, but he took some time over the weekend to test some of the design house library volume 2 for me.

As Mike  says,

“Andy’s set of tools is awesome. I’ve barely scratched the surface, but I had a few minutes today to play. Here is Amber. My usual pin-up workflow on this, including some Pindora then I used one of the new framez from dh2… but not only in the way Andy shows in the videos. I used it first as a mask (clipped a stamped copy of the file on top of it to create a mask) then again set to hard light and at 75% to add some fun to it. Then a touch of dh_country_road for some olde world color.”

Have a look for yourself.
