About Andy Armstrong

Photographer and Digital Artist, Andy Armstrong is a three-time, international award-winning photographer and artist. His work has just won First Place overall in the Portrait/Individual category and Second Place overall in the Illustrative/Editorial category of the WPPI international print competition. In just three years, Armstrong has placed three times and received numerous Accolades of Excellence.

Known for his portraiture and commercial work, Armstrong has worked for well known commercial brands like Remington and Colt. He has served as the team photographer for professional hockey and traveled into the hills of East Tennessee to shoot with the infamous moon shiner, Marvin “Popcorn” Sutton. While Armstrong is based in East Tennessee, he has shot weddings in Denver, Boston, Canada, and even St. Croix.

In every instance, Armstrong manages to catch the humanity of his clients and portray them in the best light possible, and now he wants to share his secrets with you through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on shooting and coaching.

With an extensive background in graphic art and design, Andy Armstrong created and released Design House Library Vol. 1 in 2008 and Design House Library Vol. 2 in 2009.

Design House is a collection of libraries for the modern digital photographer and designer. The libraries include Photoshop specific actions, brushes, custom shapes, and patterns. The libraries also feature a massive collection of files to help you get more creative with your images, albums, cards, and marketing pieces, including hi-res pre-made backgrounds, wallpapers, textures, digital mats, objects (like paper cutouts, dried flowers, tape and more), borders, vector images, framez, tagz, and even sun rayz.

The idea is simple: Give photographers and designers everything they need to create unique work for their clients, without all the hassle of being creative. In essence, design house is creativity simplified.

Design House has been reviewed by and featured as a “Hot Pix” item in Rangefinder magazine. In his review of Design House, Stan Sholik wrote that Design House gives “enormous potential for creative expression,” and “can inspire you and help grow your business.” And Design House has helped photographers in Canada and the US win more than ten big awards in the last year.

Don’t miss your opportunity to sit down with Andy Armstrong and learn how to really wow your clients and get creative with your post work. Set yourself apart from your competition – learn how to work quickly and effectively from someone who knows the ropes and helps photographers get creative.
