The Grind: Knoxville 2011

The Grind: Knoxville 2011 is a one-day photography and post-processing workshop by five-time international award-winning photographer and creator of Design House, Andy Armstrong. The cost is $199 per person and participants must pre-register in order to attend. If you book before on or before Feb. 5, 2011, you'll save $50, so book as soon as possible. Space is limited.
Why is it called The Grind?
To learn to make sausage, you have to have a grinder, but to make great sausage you have to know what goes into the "grind." Andy Armstrong is willing to share the secrets of the photography grind and help you make images that stand out in a crowd, keep clients coming back for more, and turn judges heads. It's all in "The Grind."

Description
The Grind is a hands-on photography and post-processing worshop. You'll learn lighting (both natural and studio), posing, tried and true interpersonal skills, client direction, and some post processing that will rock your world.
Do you want to create images that turn heads? Do you want to wow your clients with every image? Do you want to produce images, albums, and specialty products that set you apart from your competition and help you get national and international recognition? Do you want to find the "wow factor?" If you do, then you don’t want to miss this Grind.
Is this a Glamour/Boudoir workshop?
No. While we will have live models for the workshop, the skills and techniques you'll learn at The Grind will carry into every aspect of portrait photography. They are not limited to model or boudoir photography.
Is The Grind geared toward amateurs or professionals?
The Grind is suitable for both amateurs AND professionals alike. While this is not a basic photography workshop and participants should have basic understanding of their camera and the principles of photography, amateurs, hobbyists an professionals can all benefit from the training provided in The Grind.
About Andy Armstrong
Photographer and Digital Artist, Andy Armstrong has received an Accolade of Photographic Mastery and is a five-time, international award-winning photographer and artist. His work has just won First Place overall in the Illustrative/Editorial category and Second Place overall in the Illustrative/Editorial category of the WPPI International Print Competition. In the last six International Print Competitions, Armstrong has placed five times, received 17 accolades of excellence, and is now up for a 2010 Grand Award. He is also the creator of Design House software for photographers and artists.
